Country Creek Animal Hospital has an experienced in-house groomer that offers full grooming services for your pet. Grooming services include nail cleanings, ear cleaning, bathing, full grooming with breed specific cuts, and de-shedding.

Complete Professional Grooming (bath, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, nail trim, clip, cut, style, brush out)

Grooming Requirements

Professional Grooming appointments can be made Monday through Friday normally. We require that pets be up to date on vaccinations and parasite screenings/preventions in the same manner of our lodging guests.

Canine: DA2PP, Rabies, Canine Influenza, Bordetella within 6 months, negative fecal screening within a year, proof of monthly parasite prevention use
Feline: Rabies within 1 year, FVRCP within 3 years

If your pet requires sedation or tranquilizers for grooming, it will be administered under the direct supervision of a veterinarian and your pet will be fully monitored during the entire procedure. Some pets may be able to be pre-medicated with oral medications only given by the owner prior to the visit to avoid full sedation services and fees. Please consult with our Groomer and Our Veterinarians if this is necessary for your pet.

General Grooming Services

We offer various services to maintain your pet’s health and appearance. Our care is tailored to the specific breed of your pet, ensuring their unique needs are appropriately fulfilled. We recommend pets receive full grooming every eight to ten weeks, but possibly more frequently depending on health concerns. When treating your pet, we strive to ensure the greatest safety between grooming appointments, preventing the spread of fleas. Puppies and kittens are also welcome to receive grooming care to keep them healthy while young.

Nail and Claw Care: Our groomer safely maintains the length of claws and nails. We understand how pets need them to get around normally, but it’s necessary to keep them shorter to limit scratching of possessions and people. For dog’s nails, we provide dremeling and filing.

Bathing: Keeping fur healthy is crucial to a pet’s well-being, and our thorough bathing services cleanse their coat for improved health. Our groomer is trained to deeply clean their fur. For pets with skin conditions or requiring specialized attention, we offer medicated baths.

Hair Trim and Styling: After a bath, we provide a full shedding treatment to remove excess fur. From there, we will trim fur to a healthy length. Depending on the breed of your dog, we can style their fur in various ways.

Safe Pet Sedation for Grooming

Some pets require sedation or tranquilizers to receive the care they require. In these cases, one of our veterinarians will supervise the application of sedatives and monitor your pet’s grooming appointment. But owners may avoid sedation fees with oral medications given to pets prior to the visit. Please consult with our groomer or one of our veterinarians to see how your pet can benefit from sedation. Please note that we only offer sedation for Grooming for our veterinary clients.
